Belts & Hoses

Belts and hoses are the critical connectors in your vehicle's engine. Serpentine belts drive the alternator, power steering pump, water pump, and A/C compressor. Coolant hoses carry hot coolant between the engine, radiator, and heater core. A failure of either can leave you stranded.

Rubber belts and hoses degrade over time from heat, oil exposure, and age. A serpentine belt that snaps while driving will immediately disable your charging system, power steering, and engine cooling — potentially causing engine overheating and expensive damage within minutes.

At AutoZmotive, we visually inspect your belts and hoses during every service visit. We check for cracks, fraying, glazing, and softening. We also check belt tension and hose clamp condition. Preventive replacement is far cheaper than the roadside breakdown and engine damage that a failed belt or hose can cause.

We recommend replacing serpentine belts every 60,000 to 100,000 miles and coolant hoses every 5 years or when signs of wear appear. If you notice squealing from the engine bay or see coolant puddles under your vehicle, bring it in right away.
